Family Forensics will take a normal family, ask them to temporarily leave their home and then bring in a team of forensic investigators to go through every drawer, cupboard and item of laundry to create a thorough, in-depth and revealing profile of them.
During the investigation the forensic team, a detective, forensic scientist and a behavioural psychologist, will never meet the family. They will, however, have access to the entire house and its contents, snooping through all their personal belongings, files, computers and even the dustbin, digging deep into the lives and psychological make-up of this family. Their goal is to accurately uncover as much hidden information as they can in a two-day investigation, uncovering secrets that the family will be then asked to confront and discuss.
At the end of the show, our host and our psychologist will push the family to be honest about their feelings and confront the truth behind the team’s findings, in order to facilitate a new openness and understanding between family: A happy ending.
